In our new online course, By Star and Sea, we will explore the Tarot mysteries in a 6 month pilgrimage. I will share over 35 years of Tarot practice, ancestral magic and teachings and lessons from my own years of experience making pilgrimages.

I love to use the Tarot to gather insights and messages daily and in ritual and focussed practice. I have created this course to be a bridge of assistance to anyone on their own Tarot exploration and it is perfect for complete beginners. My aim is to help you to begin a daily conversation with your Tarot cards, develop your intuition and gain confidence in your ability to interpret personal messages and symbols.

What You Need : a Tarot deck (Rider-Waite is best but you can use any deck), a journal to create your own book of Tarot, time to focus each day on ritual practice, and a love of sacred exploration!

 My intention is to introduce you to the esoteric language of the Major and Minor Tarot Archetypes in a simple way, through the framework of sacred pilgrimage we will open up to intuitive messages and receive wise guidance from this elder oracle.

Course Outline

Course videos will be uploaded to the our private area on my website each week for 12 weeks with detailed journeys into each Tarot card, archetypes and symbols. There will be invitations to delve into tarot spreads and journeying meditations to open the gift of sight and intuition. Every 2 weeks on Thursday 10am we will meet in a live one hour class on Zoom to connect and hold a spirit circle to prepare you for your pilgrimage into the mysteries of the Tarot. These 6 live classes will be recorded and uploaded into the course for anyone who cannot join us live.

The course opens Thursday 21st March 2024 at 10am (Hobart Australia) and our regular classes will be at this time every 2nd thursday (Wednesday PM for the Northern Hemisphere) you can check your timezone for classes in the link below:

After our 13 weeks together, the course material will be available to you for a further 12 weeks to journey on a ‘solo pilgrimage’ on your own. After this time, the course will disappear into the ether and the portals will be closed.

I took the photo above on a walk at dusk while on pilgrimage on the Isle of Skye in Scotland looking across the sea to the Outer Hebridean Isles of Lewis and Harris. I remember feeling such a moment of wonder as I looked across at the islands I would be sailing to the next day.

Reading the Tarot with Julia

I was lucky to have been brought up in a family where intuition and psychic gifts were acknowledged from a young age and I got to witness many confirmations of these experiences with my sister, mother, aunts and cousins. I see this as a healing art that is part of my family lineage and I believe it led me to begin reading the Tarot in my early teens. For over 35 years I have read the Tarot for myself and others as a way of understanding the patterns and cycles of life and in later years to help understand and clear ancestral patterns of belief that can be carried in family bloodlines and ancestral memory in my work with Swan Blessing. I don't use the tarot as fortune telling device but as a way to access natural intuition, to receive wise guidance from my ancestors and to create healthy balance in my life.

I love to work as a 'bridge' a kind of tarot interpreter to assist people to understand their own cards and learn to read the mythic language of the Tarot for themselves. I welcome you on this journey of magic and myth.

'I had been in lockdown, scared to move either way for some unknown fear that was clawing in the pit of my stomach.
