Removing the Bridle - Horse and Spirit

Today I have been pondering the Horse totem. Horse often symbolises the Spirit in our dreams and visions, calling to us to be wild and free. When I meditated on this I began to look at the words used for the equipment worn by horses - equipment designed by humans to control and direct the horse and enable them to ride it.
We are waking up to the bindings of rules and laws placed upon us by society, culture, tribe. Some of these rules have acted like a bridle, or taming device on the WIld Feminine. By realising and acknowledging what no longer serves us and making new choices we can slip out of these halters and find that there are many paths from which to choose. When the blinkers are removed from our eyes, the vista is endless.
