Over the years of journeying with the folk craft of the doll, I have taught people from all walks of life and lands to create their own spirit dolls.
The spirit doll is an ancient being, familiar and beloved to many cultures around the world.
By engaging in ancestral crafts such as the folk tradition of a spirit doll, we weave a bridge back to the makers in our lineage who I believe send assistance to us and to the doll itself.
I am passionate about embracing and honouring these folk traditions and handcrafts of our lineages that have been forgotten and misunderstood.

Our Hands Remember
The familiar, spirit doll, medicine doll, healing doll - there are many names for the magical doll companion. With each doll we are making and healing the child within as well as connecting back to our wise ancestors.
The ancient practice of making slowly by hand helps us to access wisdom, intuition and the ancestral memory of wool, textiles, herblore, & talismans. The Sacred Familiar is the magical twin. On this journey together we will make a healing pilgrimage to meet the mythical dollmaker that lives in the ancestral memory and bring healing to the witch memory.
We are not just coming to learn how to needlefelt a doll, we will be creating a spirit doll to be a vessel and bridge for you to your ancestors.

Creating by Hand
You cannot help but go inward with hand made work, there are long long hours and much repetitive movement. Like our grandmothers many moons ago caught up in the repetition of a needle going into thread, or a spinning wheel forever turning, we begin to enter a kind of dreaming-awake state and hear the wise and quiet voice of intuition.
