Look who I met this week! This is Oscar, a nine week old orphaned tawny frogmouth a nightjar that is closely related to the kingfisher family. I met him just after the full moon when I finally got to take a big walk in the forest after my back healed. After my walk I visited my friend Anne. It's always a thrill to see her because she is a wildlife rescuer & you never know who else you might meet. His eyes were mesmerising and he had a little black curtain that he would disappear behind when he felt he had had enough of human interaction. Could be a message there for us all?!
