The Autumn Equinox is the point of equal balance between light and darkness

and at this auspicious weekend on Sunday 24th March we will be holding ceremony in the stunning water gardens at Tree of Life healing centre in Kew. We will also be holding a workshop: The Swan Blessing - understanding the bindings of Past Life Vows, followed by a shamanic ritual and drum journey Walking With the Dreamer with the intention of reclaiming our own personal ancestral dreaming and wisdom.  This will be the first of a series of workshops and personal shamanic healing to be held at the beautiful Tree of Life centre at 3 Denmark Street, Kew. An enormous thank you to our dear friend, Dr. John Hare for this invitation. We look forward to working in the magic of this divine healing space.

As the Autumn Equinox nears you may be coming into a stronger awareness of what is out of balance - what needs to fall away or be embraced to bring symbiosis and flow between your own darkness and light. Full Moon Dreaming with The Wild Unknown

This dreamy Tarot deck is The Wild Unknown, created by an independent and family-run business specialising in hand-made treasures. The artwork is by Kim Krans a visual artist and musician who with her husband Jonny Ollsin create music with The Family Band. I love the breadth of their creativity together, the sharing of art and music and even the building of their own cabin together.

I bought this deck as a gift to myself late last year as we prepared to enter our wild unknown and move to the forest. And have just begun to read with this deck for others in the Water Serpentina Water Snake shamanic balance and readings. I particularly love the animals depicting the essence of each element: Owls for Swords (Air/Mind), Swans (!!) for Cups (Water/Emotions), Snakes for Wands (Fire/Intuition) and Deer for Pentacles (Earth/Body).  This deck has sold out again but there will be a new release on 1st March.

Whatever you are doing on this Full Moon in Virgo night I hope that it brings you clarity, invites beauty and gives you trust in the Mystery - The Wild Unknown.

I began to see very similar images in meditations and dreams years ago and was over the moon to find I could create similar images with encaustic (beeswax) art - now I know that I was envisioning the beautiful Earth from far far away! You can download the free ebook Earth As Art here.

Year of the Water Snake Essence - Embracing Feminine Wisdom

At the New Moon at the birth of the Year of the Black Water Snake on 10th February I created a new essence to be used as part of the Celtic Blessing: 9th Wave Water Rites. Snake is such a beautiful and potent totem of healing and transformation. So perfect for us all in 2013 as we undergo the radical shifts and changes bringing balance as the Sacred Feminine rises to take her natural place in our world.

For centuries the serpent has long been an animal or symbol that has been vilified and demonised and so very misunderstood in our culture. This year in our work with the Swan Blessing and Femmina Unbound our intention is to clear away the besmirching of the Sacred Feminine and in particular her natural wisdom. In ancient cultures the symbol of the Snake was used to represent Feminine Wisdom. In the culture's fear of the Wild Feminine, her natural wisdom was also demonised and repressed and taught us as women to be afraid of our natural instincts, our intuition and our power. My aim with this essence containing the cleansing presence of Water Snake combined with the plant essence of the Chestnut Tree is to reclaim our natural Wisdom again by clearing our mind of over-thinking, confusion and doubt in ourselves and in the natural healing abilities of our own bodies. Just like the Snake the human body also knows when to shed and release. It is usually the mind that has a problem with letting go, acceptance for what is, and trusting in the mystery. The Water Snake essence can also be used to consciously clear outworn beliefs and ideas that no longer serve you.

I invite you to understand the true essence of Snake in all of her beauty and wisdom - she has much to teach about our natural ability to shed the past and simply BE. Snake's message to us is to understand our fears - are they truly something we know and understand or is it a fear that has been learnt without experience or understanding?

Lunar Occultation of Jupiter

Tonight the Moon will Occult (cover) Jupiter. The dark side of the Moon will highlight Jupiter and it's moons in the sky and this spectacular view will be best seen in southern skies. We will be able to view the occultation unaided so if you can be outside tonight you will see Jupiter disappearing in Melbourne at 11.33pm and reappearing at 12.10am. For more times around Australia here is a great link.
Personally I find all occultations to be very potent and often points of activation for our work and creativity. Tonight we will be infusing the Daughters of the Well Water Snake essences created at the New Moon last weekend with this Lunar Occultation of Jupiter under the chestnut tree. The intention of the essence is to help shed outdated thought patterns and beliefs and to clear the mind. This will also be the last of the natural spring water from Wombat Forest as we will soon be working with the natural and healing spring waters on the mountain ranges of beautiful Warburton.
What will Lady Luna be expressing to Jupiter at midnight tonight? The Moon is in Gemini - a perfect time for embracing new ideas and beliefs around abundance, tolerance and expansiveness (Jupiter). What new dreaming will this spectacular meeting awaken in you?

Reincarnation of the Soul Group

It is very common to be born into a lifetime with the same Soul Group of previous incarnations, often playing our very different roles and relationships. These groups can often be our biggest teachers. In both The Swan Blessing and Femmina Unbound Past Life sessions we sometimes need to understand and clear past life attachment to certain members. Often we need to release vows made to these members in the past so that we can love freely in this lifetime and make choices that serve us in the present.

From independently researched reincarnation cases, which in aggregate provide proof of life after death, the following principles are observed:

People appear to come into life in groups, based on shared karma and emotional attachments. Couples often come back together and entire family units can recur. When an individual reincarnates, other members of that person’s karmic group will be present. Identifying members of the person’s karmic group is another important criterion in establishing a past-life match.

Ian Stevenson did a very important twin study in which the past lives of 31 sets of twins (62 people) were factually validated. In 100 percent of these cases, the twins had significant past life relationships. The most common type of past life relationship was that of siblings, followed by friendships, other family relationships, then being spouses in the past incarnation.

Stevenson's twin study represents hard evidence that souls plan lifetimes to be reunited with loved ones through reincarnation. Two cases featured in this study involve the reincarnation cases of a set of Burmese twins, which also demonstrate physical resemblance from one incarnation to another. Image comparisons of these Burmese twins, who were sisters in their past incarnations, are provided above. Phyu reincarnated as San and Saipai reincarnated as her twin, Nyunt.

How do we connect with our karmic groups? The answer, it appears, is destiny. In analyzing past-life cases, it is observed that we all have a predetermined destiny or life itinerary which brings us to the people we are supposed to spend time with.

To better understand how destiny works, let us use the analogy of a journey. Think of your life as an extended vacation that you plan in advance. You decide who you want and need to see, where you want to go, and what activities you would like to participate in.

You coordinate your itinerary with the people you are to rendezvous with. You, your karmic friends, and loved ones all agree to the plan before you are born. Once you come into life, destiny ensures that you meet up with your karmic soul group.

The settings for karmic affiliations can be our families, work life and recreational pursuits. These settings are stages on which we play out the karmic dramas of our lives. This casts a new light on Shakespeare’s phrase, “All of life is but a stage.”

We meet up with different karmic groups at different points in life. When we get the urge to take a new job, travel to a new city, or take up a new recreational pursuit, many times this is a part of our destiny being played out. New venues bring us to karmic groups we need to be with.
